Ends with a lead back in play

Lead nurture and follow-up

Quotes that went quiet, trials that lapsed, leads that said “later”. Targeto follows up at the right moment and picks the thread up where it left off.

What it does

The follow up that actually happens, at the time it should.

Most follow up never gets sent. The rep is busy, the reminder is snoozed, the lead goes cold. Targeto sends it on the schedule you set and reads what comes back.

“Been busy, is the price still good?” is a re-engaged lead. “Went with someone else” is a closed one. Each gets the right next message, or none at all.

What you get

Follow up with judgement, not just a schedule.

A cadence is easy. Knowing when to send the next message, when to wait and when to stop is the part that matters.

  1. A cadence that fits the lead

Day two, day seven, day twenty. Set the rhythm per stage and per audience, and let the reply decide what happens next.

  2. Timing read from the reply

“Busy” gets a lighter touch later. “Not interested” ends the sequence and suppresses the contact. “Still thinking” gets the answer to whatever they are thinking about.

  3. Picks up where the thread ended

Same contact record, same conversation. The follow up references the quote, the visit or the trial, not a blank “just checking in”.

  4. Old lists back in play

Point it at last year’s enquiries. Each one gets a relevant message, every reply gets read and the warm ones go to your team.

Conversations on autopilot

Every reply gets read, gets answered and gets carried to a result.

Targeto takes the whole conversation from start to finish. When a customer replies, it reads what they actually want, answers within seconds in your voice and keeps the thread going until it lands on something you can count. A booked appointment. A qualified lead. A request that is closed out.

Message arrives
1Message arrivesSomeone writes “Can we move tomorrow’s appointment?” on SMS, RCS or WhatsApp.
2Intent readAppointment · reschedule. The meaning is understood, not just a keyword match.
3Reply sent“Of course. 10:30 or 2:00 tomorrow?” Sent on the channel they used.

What changes

What changes in the follow up.

The gap between “I will think about it” and a decision is where most revenue quietly disappears. This is what closes it.
Every thread ends with a lead back in play

  1. Quiet leads answer

A follow up that references the actual quote or visit gets replies that “just checking in” never did.

  2. Nobody is chased twice

One record per person. A lead a rep already spoke to is not followed up again by the sequence.

  3. Not interested is respected

A no is read as a no. The sequence ends, the contact is suppressed and your brand stays welcome in their inbox.

  4. Reps get the warm ones

When a lead comes back to life, a rep gets the thread with the history attached, at the moment the lead is paying attention.

Common questions

Questions about follow up.

Five short answers on timing, tone and stopping. More on the full FAQs page.

See all questions
How does it decide when to follow up?

You set the cadence per stage. From there each reply changes the plan: a busy person hears back later, an interested one hears back now and a no ends the sequence.

Will it annoy people?

It is built not to. Frequency rules and quiet hours are followed, every reply is read and a request to stop, in any wording, is honoured immediately.

Can it reactivate an old list?

Yes, provided you have consent for those contacts. Each person gets a message that references their history, and every reply is read and routed.

What happens when a lead comes back?

The thread goes to your team with everything attached: the original enquiry, the quote, the follow ups and the reply that brought them back.

Which channel does follow up use?

The one the lead last replied on, or the strongest one available to them. A lead who answered on WhatsApp is followed up on WhatsApp.
